Industrial Mechanic specialising in maintenance
For this profession, for which we provide the appropriate training, you require good knowledge of natural sciences, manual skills, spatial sense, technical interest and an understanding of complex tasks.
An industrial mechanic is responsible for maintaining and restoring machines and production facilities as part of their preventive maintenance. The industrial mechanic inspects, maintains and repairs machines and systems or adapts them to changing production conditions. You disassemble and assemble parts and structural components, without interfering with the production process as far as this is possible. Errors are diagnosed and remedied by means of test and measurement.
You will work in shifts (at the Neuenbürg site sometimes also off the shift system) together with an instrument technician/electrician, in order to ensure that the production process runs smoothly.
Duration of training
3 1/2 years
You must have a good general secondary school qualification.
Mathematical mind, good spatial sense, manual skills and no aversion to working with computers and high-technology. You should enjoy facing new challenges and like to work in a team.
Vocational school in parallel with your work
The one-year basic training and various two to four-week specialised seminars during the later training are completed in cooperation with the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Teltow.
